Include cleaners in the design and implementation of your Waste Wise practices. Cleaners can be asked not to empty individual waste bins as regularly (this saves money while also helping staff to understand how much waste they generate). Cleaners can also be asked not to empty/collect some bins if recyclable or compostable items have been placed in them, while also identifying those who are doing a good job at recycling or minimising waste
