Guide Beside The Guide Beside Workshops are Junior Landcare Grants Program Junior Landcare is Landcare Australia's youth program, which aims to get kids actively involved in their environment and enable them to develop sustainable habits from a young age. It is a great, hands-on way to get kids connecting with and learning about nature, as well as encouraging them to get outdoors. Did You Know? The Junior Landcare Victorian Youth Environment Conference is the culmination of a Schools Climate Kit Each lesson plan has a special PDF teacher's version as well as activity sheets, extended learning activities and additional resource links. There is also a state-based lesson plan especially for "Schools Clean Up Day", which outlines the curriculum objectives for your state. The Schools Climate Kit http://www.cleanup.com.au/au/GetInvolved/schools-climate-kit.html will assist in teaching your class about the critical environmental issues that we face, but more importantly what we can do to conserve our environment. Victorian Solar in Schools Initiative - 2008/2009 funding round now open Schools are encouraged to consider how these infrastructure funding programs support the implementation of sustainability in their schools through a holistic approach that incorporates infrastructure, curriculum, operations and school-community partnerships. Schools need to complete separate application forms for the VSiSI and the NSSP. Please remember that the VSiSI funding is a rebate paid after installation whereas the NSSP funding is paid up front.
