Waste Wise in the Workplace
The Waste Wise Program has been designed to assist groups, organisations, local governments, clubs, retailers, restaurants and small business reduce waste for the benefit of our environment.
The program is a partnership between Sustainability Victoria, sixteen state-wide Regional Waste Management Groups, local councils and the community.
The Waste Wise Program is voluntary, free and allows businesses or organisations to set their own pace and objectives. There is a range of support materials and businesses are given assistance in conducting audits and action plans together with in-house training and team development where appropriate.
Hundreds of businesses and organisations across Victoria have changed the way they deal with waste, through their waste reduction plans, designed to cut waste, costs and improve efficiencies.
Waste Wise Industry Program
There is also a related program called the Waste Wise Industry Program. This program specifically caters to large businesses, focusing on issues such as continuous improvement, supply chains and big (>100 ton/yr) waste reductions. Click here to find out more.
